Hey everybody, it’s Danny Karon, your Lovable Lawyer here with your quick shot of legal wellness. I’m in Las Vegas and I wanted to talk about a couple of legal misperceptions concerning the city.

One of them is that it’s okay to drink in public. It’s legal to drink on the strip and downtown because there’s so many bars that are so close to the street and they want to allow you to go to and from them. But, if you’re sitting around drinking on the curb, it’s illegal.

The second thing is prostitution. Some people think that it’s legal in Las Vegas. However, it’s only legal in Nevada as long as you are in a county of less than 400,000 people. Clark County, where Vegas is, and Washoe County, where Reno is, have more than 400,000 people so prostitution is actually illegal. What the company does here is they sell themselves as escorts and they sell their time, not any sort of sexual services. That’s how they get around the anti-prostitution laws.

That’s your Vegas shot of legal wellness for today. If you want to learn more, please subscribe! It allows me keep making these free videos for you in order to enhance your legal aptitude and wellness.
